Connect WHATS’ON to Wordbee using Beebox
Efficient multilingual content lifecycle
WHATS’ON is all about gaining efficiency in the content supply chain. For broadcasters who require localization to reach multilingual audiences, Beebox connects WHATS’ON to Wordbee’s Translation Management System.
Beebox leverages translation memory
Before content is sent to the Wordbee Translation Management System or to your LSPs, Beebox leverages your translation memory, generates a cost preview, and helps you see what you saved with your translation memory (never pay for the same thing twice).
Beebox + Wordbee offers control
Beebox connects WHATS’ON to any TMS. When used in conjunction with Wordbee’s TMS, you get complete control: powerful automation, workflows, and end-to-end control. Wordbee is the only system for translation you’ll need.
OVERVIEW
How the WHATS’ON connector works
WHATS'ON sends content to SFTP where Beebox picks it up and prepares it
Using WPML, you can quickly ship pages, menus, widgets, and all other content types to Beebox. Beebox prepares any translatable XML nodes and attributes. Meta data can control workflows and assignments for each request, and any segment length constraints can be stored inside requests or defined as a percentage. Beebox detects languages, too.
Apply translation memory to your WHATS'ON translations in Beebox
Beebox features an independent translation memory that is applied as content streams into the Beebox. If a sentence or paragraph has already been translated in the past, you can optionally choose not to send that content for translation, reducing translations by as much as 20%.
Sends content to Wordbee for localization
When the cost preview is approved, Beebox sends your content to Wordbee (or other tools) for translation. If using Wordbee, the CAT Tool has powerful features for project managers and linguists.
Automation takes place here too. Depending on the meta data you send from WHATS’ON, you can automatically and conditionally kick off jobs and even translation assignments. And in Wordbee, you can automate workflows, manage your terminology, automatically create invoices, and much more.
Publish content back to WHATS'ON via API
When jobs are closed and your content is localized, Wordbee pushes your content back to WHATS’ON, and the content is automatically inserted where it belongs, preserving its original formatting. You can setup your own validation workflows to meet your requirements.
Additional features for WHATS’ON localization
Beebox provides a wide-array of benefits and features for WHATS’ON customers. This is just a selection.
Integrates with SFTP
Using SFTP, you can simply and elegantly roundtrip content for localization.
Automation via meta data
You can define meta data in the content you send, and define rules in Beebox based on that meta data for content bundling, job assignments, and further automation in Wordbee.
Multiple source languages
You may have original content in different languages. Beebox makes it easy to translate from multiple source languages to different target languages.
Isolates HTML Markup
Beebox isolates HTML Markup to prevent against human error that may affect the formatting of your content.
Generate cost previews
Especially for LSPs, Beebox allows you to automatically generate a cost preview for your clients so they can see how much localization will cost based on your pricing rules.
Track your projects
Beebox makes it easy to track the status of all of your current translation projects.
Custom integrations
Wordbee serves great customers like Viacom and Turner Broadcasting, and we know that sometimes you need a special integration with WHATS’ON. Wordbee can tailor connection solutions for your needs.
Connect your preferred vendors
You can also send content from Beebox straight to your vendors. One of the things this does is keep you from “locking in” with a specific vendor.
